Quick chocolate dessert cream (traditional & Thermomix) *

Another dessert cream that I like to prepare for my men is this gorgeous chocolate cream.

This is also a recipe that does not only use the egg yolks, but only one single whole egg. There is also no additional cooking in the oven required. It is one of my favorite recipes together with the delicious vanilla dessert cream or the quick vanilla dessert cream, that is more budget friendly and virtually impossible to mess up. I have also posted for you the recipe for my quick caramel dessert cream.

Ingredients

  • 70 g of 72% dark chocolate
  • 250 g Single cream
  • 250 g milk
  • 1 egg
  • 20 g sugar
  • 20 g of cornstarch

Recipe for 4 portions with the traditional method

Grate or melt the chocolate. Put it in a saucepan and add the cream, milk, egg, sugar and cornstarch. Heat over medium heat, stirring continuously until the cream thickens. It takes a little less than 5 minutes approximately. Pour into 4 glasses and let cool before putting on a lid or any other kind of cover.

Tip: If I am very generous I even add a homemade whipped cream which I place on top of the chocolate cream. This is really the ultimate delicacy.

Thermomix Method

Put the dark chocolate in the bowl and chop for 10 seconds / speed 8.
Add the milk, cream, egg, sugar and cornstarch and bring to the boil for 6 minutes 30 seconds / 100 ° C / speed 4.
Put the cream in 4 glass jars, let it cool before putting on the lid or any other cover.
