A little dessert or treat that I absolutely love are these summer slices. There is such a variety of fruit that you can present with them that it is pure bliss!
Easy to prepare in advance they always have a huge success!
Prepare a Custard cream and let it cool for a couple of hours and if wished pass it through a sieve.
Diplomatcream fot the filling
- 1 leave of gelatine
- 1 tbsp of water
- 100 g custard
- 200 g whipped cream
A variety of fruit for decoration
Soften the gelatine leaf in the water. Whip the cream and fold it gently with the custard. Warm the water with the gelatine ever so slightly until its melted. Add a spoonful of cream to the gelatine then add the gelatine to the rest of the cream. Fill into a piping bag and pipe onto the middle of the jam log slice.
Decorate with the fruit.
