This sauce was inspired by one my mother does regularly. Hers is delicious but I have still tweaked it a little bit and made this one my own.
Whenever I make it, I have to make a huge batch as people enjoy it tremendously. It goes perfectly with BQ but I – not being a big meat fan – eat it mainly with boiled potatoes, or the ones straight out of the BBQ and tomatoes. This is simply bliss. Excellent food doesn’t have to be difficult to make 👌🏻
Recipe Caro’s white BBQ sauce
- 500 g Fromage Frais
- 2 heaped tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 bunch chives, minced
- 3 garlic cloves, pureed
- Salt, pepper
Put the fromage frais into a big bowl, add the mayonnaise, chives and garlic. And mix well by hand until all combined. Season to taste with salt and pepper and keep in the fridge until serving!
