Roasted garlic mashed potatoes

There are many many versions of mashed potatoes that I love and I will share them with you soon but I will start with this one.

I have to admit that I had been intrigued by ‘garlic mashed potatoes’ for a long time but never got the courage up to make it.

Then one day I tried it and ever since that they I have been hooked! The slightly caramelised flavour that comes from the roasted garlic mixed with the fluffy potatoes is simply divine!

Recipe Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  • 1 kg potatoes for mash, peeled and cut into pieces
  • 90 g regular salted butter
  • 80 g cream cheese, softened
  • 30 g sour cream
  • Splash of milk
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 2 heads roasted garlic

Roast the whole garlic in the oven for about 1/2 hour.

Take off each individual clove and squeeze the cooked garlic into a bowl.

Cook the potatoes until they are tender. Drain and return into the pan over low heat. Mash the potatoes and add the butter, cream cheese, sour cream, milk, salt, pepper and garlic.

Serve hot.
